Availability, Reliability & Maintainability (AR&M)

BPP-TECH has a long and detailed track history in AR&M related work on repair and life extension projects, as well as investigations on single component and equipment failures.

AR&M studies are carried out to compare various designs, maintenance approaches and operating strategies. A detailed understanding of the system or process is obtained by investigating the main contributors to failures.

The purpose is to estimate the likelihood of unplanned events that may occur as a result of failures in individual components. Selection and configuration of components in the system and the maintenance requirements are taken into account. As a result, design and operation can be made more efficient, selection of critical components can be made, and maintenance programmes defined.
