Applications are invited from recent graduates who have completed a PhD in engineering or naval architecture to develop a career in analysis, design and on-site engineering work for the offshore oil and gas industry. BPP-TECH is particularly interested in applications from candidates with specialist knowledge in electrical power engineering, structural and finite element analysis, polymer engineering or non-destructive testing although other specialist subjects will also be considered. The position can be based in any of BPP-TECH's offices in London, Aberdeen and Houston but will include some short term site work assignments at worldwide locations.
The criteria for appointment are:
A PhD in engineering, naval architecture or a related discipline;
A strong interest in developing an industrial career in engineering carrying out analysis, design, product development, project management and on-site work;
The potential for rapidly developing technical and project leadership capabilities and for managing teams;
Successful appointees will be placed on BPP-TECH’s Managed Professional Development Scheme and will be expected to rapidly gain Chartered Status;
