Pipe Clamp Failures in Nuclear Facility

A pipe clamp failure occurred on the main cooling water inlet pipe to a nuclear reactor.

BPP Tech have undertaken a detailed assessment of the failure of a pipe clamp fabrication supporting a 400 mm main cooling water inlet pipe to a nuclear reactor.

This included providing an opinion and commentary on the nature of the defects which caused the failure, the consequences of these defects, the accountability of the designer of the pipe clamps, and an assessment of the suitability of the redesigned pipe clamp. Additionally, BPP Tech provided an opinion on the appropriateness of the expenditure accrued in the remediation works.
